Doesn't look like a friendly place, no sign that people have really been around lately. I like the shot though, it has a mysterious feel to it. Like you were hiding in the shadows when you took it. Is it the back of a factory or warehouse district?

@DTW: wow! I'm so surprised with your comment! this is actually an apartment building in the centre of Kiev - close to the main tourist places. So the apartments are pretty expensive here. It's like a courtyard.

There are lots of places like this in Russia.
Well, I'm going there in August - I can bring more pictures if you are interested.

@DTW: Why are you sorry? - this is a part of life as well! And it's really great that you've seen something new for you - I LOVE to discover something new! But the place like that seems for me familiar so I'm glad that I still took the picture because I could just walk through and never stop there.
